Amazon Civils are committed in improving and working towards its environmental performances. We believe environment management is the responsibility of everyone. We work with our suppliers to reduce wastage and all our employees have a training programme about environmental issues. We aim to maximise the efficiency of our use of energy and raw materials through employee awareness, waste segregation and minimisation, and recycling where practicable. Our improvements to date include; Recycling all/most of our plastic waste, this is achieved in house and then re-used Minimising our packaging, we have achieved this through purchasing and only using environmental wrap film (E-wrap) and sellotape (e-tape) Closed looped cooling process to optimise water consumption Product development, this is achieved through the elimination of lead stabilisers in the PVC we use to manufacture our products. We have worked in partnership with the carbon trust and have had power savers installed to all of our machines to cut our carbon emissions and reduce the energy we use by upto 40 %
